Pumpkin Pie Smoothie


Serves 1

  • 70g butternut squash, grated
  • 1 medium banana, peeled
  • 150ml skimmed milk
  • 30g protein powder, vanilla or unflavoured
  • 10g maple syrup
  • 10g pumpkin seeds
  • Pinch ground cinnamon
  • Pinch nutmeg
  • Handful of ice


Put the butternut squash into a heatproof bowl with a splash of water, cover and microwave for 3-4 minutes until soft then set aside to cool.

Once cooled, add to a blender along with the rest of the ingredients and blitz until smooth.

  • Good on the go


  • Adjust the amount of ice to make the smoothie thicker or thinner.
