3 low-effort weeknight dinners

Dinner times are always busy in our house, so I like to choose quick and easy recipes that the whole family will love. That’s why I’ve joined forces with Asda to bring you another round of Joe Wicks’ Meal Picks, giving you three low-effort weeknight dinners. And even better, the key ingredient of each recipe has been put on rollback to help make your budget stretch even further.

I love a traybake – a little prep, bang it in the oven, and it’s ready to plate up. We’ve got an Italian Chicken and Orzo Bake that’s packed full of protein and easy to assemble – so it’s great for getting the kids involved. (And using ready-chopped frozen veg makes this even easier.)

There’s also the Mexican Meatball Traybake that’s colourful, has loads of flavour and is super cheap, too. We eat ours with rice, jacket potatoes or warm wraps, depending on what we have in.

When it comes to low-effort meals, you can’t go wrong with a slow cooker. You can just pop it on while you’re out in the day and come home to the kitchen smelling banging. Our simple Sweet Potato Hotpot is crammed with four of your five-a-day. Finish it off in the oven for a few minutes to take that sweet potato topping to the next level.

Head over to Asda.com to see what family-friendly dinners you can rustle up this month. Check out our 3 low-effort weeknight dinners, plus loads more midweek meals here.

Love, Joe x
