Cheesy Tuna Bake


Serves 1

  • 140g tinned tuna in water or brine, drained
  • 30g light mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • ½ small red onion, peeled and finely diced
  • ¼ tsp chilli powder or cayenne pepper
  • 40g swiss cheese, such as gruyere, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • 15g panko or fine white breadcrumbs
  • 1 small bunch parsley, chopped
  • 60g green beans, trimmed


Preheat the oven to 180ºC. Mix the tuna with the mayonnaise, mustard, onion, chilli powder and most of the cheese in a bowl then season to taste.

Spoon the tuna mix into a baking dish and sprinkle over the remaining cheese, breadcrumbs and parsley. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until hot all the way through. When the bake is nearly ready, steam or boil the green beans for a few minutes and serve on the side.
